So maybe we’re not going to be using tumblr for our dev blogs…
Hello out there, whoever might be reading this. My name is Katy, and I work for a fantastic little company called Escape Media Group. I’m one of the web developers for Grooveshark, the online music store with a twist - share your music collection with others, and when someone buys a song from you, not only do we make sure the copyright holder gets paid, but you get paid as well!
Grooveshark has a blog but it’s primarily inhabited by our marketing department and all sorts of music industry news. Us developers wanted to start blogging as well, so that our curious and/or tech-savvy users can get a glimpse into just what goes into Grooveshark, as well as the people behind the site.
I work primarily in Javascript and ActionScript, so keep an eye out here for nifty tidbits about our frontend and the Flash and AJAX-y magic that makes the site go ‘round. Also check out the tumblelogs of my fellow Grooveshark developers (apparently we have a channel, which I will link as soon as I figure out how ^.^)
